We purchased the Memory Maker and I loved the bonus "stock" photos that came with it. Two questions - if I buy the Archival CD (also with 400+ stock images) will they be different from what I already received? How about the other stock CD for WDW

    Hi Julie,

I love Memory Maker!  I've used the service a number of times and always love getting home and being able to see all the photos and videos from my family's vacation.

One thing I've noticed on my own Memory Maker purchases is that the stock photos that show up after my trip are a bit different each time.  Sometimes I have just a few and sometimes there are dozens.  The specific stock photos I receive seem somewhat related to the locations where we had Disney PhotoPass photographers take our picture, but not always.  I've also noticed that sometimes special photos are added for the holidays or other special events.  For example, when we attended Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last year, we had some spook-tacular Halloween stock photos added to our Memory Maker account.

I mention all of this because it helps explain the answer I received from Disney PhotoPass as I was researching the answer to your question.  That answer is that there could be some duplication, but there are also many exclusive photos on the gallery and archival discs that are not included in the Memory Maker stock photos.  Those discs require a separate purchase from your Memory Maker.

With the Walt Disney World Gallery Disc, you'll receive over 400 digital, high-resolution photos of the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and more.  When I spoke with a Cast Member at Disney PhotoPass,  was told that the photos included on the Walt Disney World Gallery Disc are the same as those you receive with the Memory Maker Archival Disc.  The content of the Walt Disney World Entertainment Gallery Disc is a bit different, in that it includes over 600 photos that focus on Disney Characters, parades, shows and fireworks.

I hope that helps answer your questions, Julie.  Have a Disney day!
