We purchased Memory Maker. I’m confused how we link our PhotoPass to the App. Do we wait until after our first photo is taken? And show the barcode from our app? Scan magic band? How do we connect our purchase? Do we input our order confirmation number?

Say cheese, Samantha, and welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit will be here in a snap, so let's talk about capturing some memories to last a lifetime.

First, check if Memory Maker is linked to your My Disney Experience account. After logging in, go to My Plans, and under "My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets," you'll see a tab for "Tickets, Passes, & Memory Maker." Tap that, and scroll to see if Memory Maker is listed. If so, then you're good to go!

If you don't see Memory Maker listed, tap the blue "Add More Plans" button and choose "Link Reservations and Purchases" from the drop-down menu. Select Memory Maker and enter the appropriate number based on how you purchased it. If you have additional questions, please call the Disney PhotoPass line, and a photogenic Cast Member will be glad to help you.

After Memory Maker is linked to your account, you'll be prompted to activate it as soon as you select any photo taken by a PhotoPass photographer or during a ride. Just tap the Photos tile in your mobile app and choose any image to be prompted to activate Memory Maker.

Memory Maker is one of my favorite products because it offers many photo opportunities, and I get to be in the picture! Since I'm typically the photographer in my family, it's nice to relax and be in the moment. The Disney PhotoPass photographers have a gift for the best poses and backgrounds. My favorite ever was when the photographer asked us to wait a few seconds so he could synchronize our photos with the morning fireworks behind us.

One final tip is to know how to find PhotoPass photographers near you. On the mobile app, tap the map icon at the bottom of the screen and sort by PhotoPass from the drop-down menu at the top of the map. You'll see points on the map everywhere you can have magical photos taken. One of my favorite spots is near the Liberty Square Bridge in Magic Kingdom Park. It's a great place to have Cinderella Castle as a backdrop without other guests nearby.

I'm sending pixie dust and tripods so your upcoming visit will be fabulous, Samantha. Please stop by planDisney anytime; we're always ready for our close-up!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
