Hi there, Staci!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your important question about Memory Maker. Vacation photos are precious treasures, and I’m happy to help you connect everything to be sure you have those important keepsakes from your vacation.
Memory Maker is a product that allows you to view, download and share your Disney vacation photos taken by
Disney PhotoPass Service. All photos taken are included in your Memory Maker without requiring an additional purchase.
If you purchased Memory Maker within the
My Disney Experience app, it should already be connected to your Disney account as it’s considered an in-app purchase. The receipt you have from Apple is confirmation of payment through your Apple ID but that Order ID is not affiliated with your Disney account.
You can link Memory Maker in the My Disney Experience app if you purchased it physically outside of the app, such as at a ticket location or purchased a room and ticket package before connecting to the app. Please also
see this question I recently answered for another guest about linking your photos taken by Disney PhotoPass Service while on vacation. As an in-app purchase you shouldn't have to take additional steps for the Memory Maker product to be connected to your Disney account. Let’s verify that together to be certain.
Within your My Disney Experience app, click on the three lines in the bottom right of the screen, then tap the Photos tile. You should see any photos taken by Disney PhotoPass Service on your vacation here. They will have a watermark on them until you select one photo and click Activate. You can then view and download any of these special vacation photos without the watermark. If your vacation is still in the future, you’ll wait until you are on site with some photos in this collection to activate Memory Maker.
I find the view of My Disney Experience on a computer very helpful sometimes, too. Within a web browser, log onto the
Walt Disney World website and click on My Disney Experience. Under My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets you will see two tabs: Daily Itinerary and Tickets, Passes, and Memory Maker - click on that one to confirm your Memory Maker purchase, the Guest it is linked to, and the Confirmation Number.
I know this can be confusing, Staci but rest assured you’ve done everything right! I’m glad you’re exploring the app to see different features but with this in-app purchase you won’t have to take additional steps to link your Memory Maker to your Disney account.
Wishing you picture-perfect vacation memories,
Amy
