I purchased magicbands plus for our group of 10. We are trying to link each one with each guest. If it says not connected, what does that mean? Do I need to pair each one with my app? And can I share the tickets and bands on the app with my daughters?

Hiya, Terese, and welcome to planDisney! Hot dog - it sounds like you're arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth today! How exciting! I'll be thinking of you and your sweet family as you make your way to Walt Disney World Resort!

Terese, you're going to love the convenience that comes with wearing a MagicBand+! When you first go to set up your MagicBand+, the first thing you should do is double-check that you are assigning the correct MagicBand+ to each Guest in your party. Once it's assigned to a Guest, it can't be changed. I'll detail most of the setup process here, in case you find that there's a step you missed that is causing your issue.

The Walt Disney World Resort website does a great job of walking you through the setup instructions for MagicBand+. After the MagicBand+ is on and you've opened your My Disney Experience Mobile App, you'll be prompted to link it to your account, assign it to a Guest (either you or one you manage), then pair it to your smartphone. Once it's paired, you'll be able to check on the battery level and customize some of the features.

If you're having trouble pairing your MagicBand+, refer to these FAQs for assistance. One thing I'll mention is that, if you have the Disneyland App open on your phone, you won't be able to pair your MagicBand+ to My Disney Experience until you close the Disneyland App.

If your MagicBand+ is still saying "Not Connected," please ensure that it's charged, that it is turned on, and that your Bluetooth is on. You might need to restart your phone or the MagicBand+, or update some software (you'll be prompted if this is the case). To turn your MagicBand+ off and back on, press and hold the button on the back of the band until it buzzes twice. When it turns off, the LED light will turn red and rotate once in reverse. Press and hold the button for one second to power it back on - then you will see a solid green light.

Since you're arriving today, you're welcome to visit the Front Desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel to see if a helpful Cast Member can assist you. Hakuna Matata - they're the experts and are happy to help!

Terese, I hope this is helpful to you as you count down the final hours to your arrival. Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!

    See ya real soon!
