I purchased Magic Kingdom tickets for my family. Half of us went last year and have magic bands but the other half do not. Will they send the cards in the mail? If we choose to purchase multipass LL, how will the rest of my family scan in for that?

Hello Zak, and welcome to planDisney! I’m sure you’re thrilled to be gearing up for another trip back to Walt Disney World, and I’m glad you reached out with your question about MagicBands and Theme Park Tickets. Let’s get your whole family ready for an amazing visit!

First, you’ll want to make sure all the family members traveling with you are listed on your Family & Friends List in your MyDisney account. Here’s how you can add them:

    On a Computer:
    1. Log in to your My Disney Experience account.
    2. Hover over the “MyDisneyExperience” tab and select “My Family & Friends.”
    3. Click “Add a Guest” to include each family member.
    4. Choose how to add a Guest: Search for a Guest with a MyDisney account or create a profile to plan for someone/invite them to create their own MyDisney account.

On the My Disney Experience App:
    1. Open the app and tap on the menu (three lines) at the bottom right.
    2. Select “Profile,” then “Family & Friends List.”
    3. Tap “Add a Guest” and follow the prompts.

Once everyone is added, locate the confirmation email from when you purchased your Magic Kingdom tickets online. It should contain a confirmation number that you can use to link the tickets to your My Disney Experience account. On your computer, select “My Plans,” hover over the “Park Tickets” circle, and select “Link Tickets.” On your app, tap the menu, then “My Tickets & Passes,” and then the plus sign in the top right. After you’ve added the tickets, you can assign each ticket to the appropriate Guest on your Family & Friends List.

For the family members who already have a MagicBand or MagicBand+, once their tickets are assigned, the new ticket information will automatically be linked to their MagicBand. They’ll all be set to enter the theme parks by tapping the Mickey touchpoints.

For those who don’t have MagicBands, you have a few options:

    • Purchase MagicBands through the My Disney Experience app or on the shopDisney website. Once they arrive, simply link the new MagicBand to the Guest’s profile in your account.
    • Key to the World Cards serve as physical tickets and can be picked up at any Guest Relations window in the park or at the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
    • Disney MagicMobile is an excellent option for using your mobile device as a ticket. You can set up MagicMobile passes in the My Disney Experience app and add them to your phone’s digital wallet. It’s a quick and convenient way to enter the parks and works similarly to a MagicBand.
    • Additionally, you can download all the tickets to your Apple or Google Wallet on your device, allowing you to swipe your family members in at the touchpoints.

Zak, I hope this answers your questions and helps you and your family prepare for a fantastic time at the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you need further assistance, clarification, or recommendations for your upcoming trip, don’t hesitate to reach out again.
