I was just experimenting with the features of my new
MagicBand+ last night! I had fun testing out the different light-up color themes. I am a huge fan of the convenience of MagicBands, so I jumped on board when MagicBand+ was released earlier this year.
Chris, based on the information you described in your question, it sounds like you ordered customized MagicBands through your
My Disney Experience account. Guests with an upcoming stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel are eligible to order discounted MagicBands via My Disney Experience and can select their choice of available styles or choose to decline a MagicBand for each member of their party listed on the reservation. Customized MagicBands ordered through My Disney Experience are already linked to each individual Guest on the reservation for whom they were selected, and cannot be reassigned.
If instead, you ordered retail
MagicBands online from shopDisney, these do not come pre-assigned and will need to be linked to the appropriate Guests using the ID numbers found on the underside of the band. MagicBands can be
linked to your My Disney Experience account online, or via the
My Disney Experience mobile app by using the menu button in the lower right corner to select "MagicBands and More" and scrolling down to where you see "Link Your MagicBand or Card". During the linking process, you will be asked to select which Guest from your
Family & Friends List you would like to assign the band to.
