Hiya Sun-Siret! Welcome to planDisney!
We’re so happy you stopped by with your question for us.
MagicBands are my favorite magical accessory. And, like Ariel loves her plentiful gadgets and gizmos, I always want more! While MagicBands are lovely accessories, they make our Walt Disney World Resort vacations seamless and convenient. With just a tap, you can open your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room door, enter the theme parks with
valid admission, charge back to your Disney Resort hotel room, and so much more!
Sun-Siret, I still use some of my older MagicBands, as they’re some of my favorites, so yours may also work! It should still work if your MagicBand is showing as “active” on your My Disney Experience account. To check, please open your
My Disney Experience Mobile App, tap on the three horizontal lines on the bottom right and then select
My Profile. Next, choose
MagicBands & Cards and
Your MagicBands & Cards. Look for the ID that matches your MagicBand and check whether it has
Active or
Inactive next to it. If it still works, it should say
Active, and you should be all set!
If the battery on your MagicBand is low, it could limit your ability to receive
Disney PhotoPass attraction videos and select attraction photos. If you’re worried about this, I recommend setting up
Disney MagicMobile on your smartphone. Then, while you’re at the parks, as long as your smartphone’s Bluetooth is enabled, your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos will link easily to your My Disney Experience account, and you won’t have to worry about losing any of those precious keepsakes.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the magic soon, Sun-Siret! Have an enchanting visit.
Aena
