Hey there! Hi there, Thomas! I am so glad you stopped by planDisney with this question, as you are likely packing and getting ready to leave today and enter the worlds of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy. Let's mark Lightning Lane passes off your to-do list and get ready to
go, go, go!
Lightning Lane passes are the best way to speed through the lines and enjoy some of your favorite attractions at
Walt Disney World Resort. As you experienced, when you purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for a group, you all have to pick the same three attractions with your initial selections. I have a few recommendations for your trip with Mouseketeers of varying heights.
It sounds like three of you can ride one of your selections, but one person needs to get a bit taller before enjoying it with you. You could modify this selection for the littlest Mousketeer, but that won't matter since they probably cannot go on another attraction alone – and I am guessing you all want to ride as much as you can together. I would leave your selections as they are. When it is time to enjoy that attraction's Lightning Lane entry, ask the Cast Member at the front of the line where you scan in about
Rider Switch. With Rider Switch, two people in your group could enjoy the attraction while one stays with the non-rider. When the two return, you switch. And to keep the first person who waited from riding alone, the Cast Members allow one person to join them.
Hakuna Matata! Just be sure to ask the Cast Members beforehand and follow their instructions on where to reunite and switch.
Since I told you to keep the Lightning Lane selection for all four of you, make sure you scan in at the entrance for the non-rider. Once you have all scanned into the Lightning Lane entry (including the non-rider), you will all be eligible to select another Lightning Lane experience based on availability at the time.
If you choose other attractions during your theme park day with restrictive height requirements, you do not have to include the non-rider. You can just pick the three who are tall enough when you are selecting your party. I just find it easier to leave everyone in with the initial three selections and all scan in at the parks to keep planning as one group. As Captain Jack Sparrow would ask,
"Savvy?"One last tip: For me, it's always a good time for a Mickey Ice Cream bar, but waiting while others enjoy an attraction is the best time for Mickey-shaped sweetness.
Thomas, I hope my recommendations help. If you have any questions about this, you can
