Hello Edwin!
Welcome to planDisney! This is a great question! You’ll be happy to know that only one member of a travel party needs to purchase
Memory Maker, and that sounds like it is you!
To get started, you’ll want to be sure that you are linked to all the members of your group via
Family & Friends in
My Disney Experience. As long as you are linked to them and they click the box that says they are willing to share their photos with you, you’ll have access to any photos they have taken, even if you aren’t with them. Even if the teenagers head for Space Mountain while the grandparents and little ones take on Zurg at Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at the same time, the on-ride photos from both parties will be available on your Memory Maker!
It is important to know that only you will have access to the photos. If anyone else in the group tries to view them on their own My Disney Experience Account, the photos will still be watermarked. But since you hold the Memory Maker on your account, you’ll be able to view and download them without the watermark! What we do is download all the photos once we get home, and then send digital copies to the rest of our family.
So get those smiles ready, Edwin! Did you know you can use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to find PhotoPass Photographers? Use the map feature to view the park map, then at the top of the screen, change the “Wait Times” option to “PhotoPass.” And don’t ever hesitate to ask if the PhotoPass Photographer has any “Magic Shots.” These fun options use Disney magic to enhance your photos with a little extra pixie dust!
Have Fun and “Say Cheese!”
