Hi Rana!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for popping by to ask about
Disney After Hours during this week's visit. I'd be happy to assist you today.
Disney After Hours Events are separately ticketed events that take place after the theme parks have closed for the day. If your son would like to attend with you this evening,
in addition to his 3-day Park Hopper, he must also purchase a ticket to Disney After Hours at EPCOT. The good news is, as of this writing, tonight's event is not sold out yet, so if you act fast, you can save the galaxy, visit
Elsa's ice palace, and drop by
Remy's kitchen together!
Quick tip: if you're interested in riding
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, you can do so during Disney After Hours without securing a spot in the
virtual queue. It's a fantastic way to experience my favorite attraction in the park without jumping through any extra hoops!
Regarding theme park reservations, you will not need them for Disney After Hours or any separately ticketed event. Just scan your
MagicBand, ticket card, or
mobile device at the entrance, and you'll be on your way to an evening of fun. If you purchased your son's ticket as part of a group package with his cheerleading squad, he will likely need theme park reservations, as
group tickets still require them. You can do this on the web version of My Disney Experience. Start by
clicking here while logged into his Disney account and follow the prompts to reserve each theme park day.
I hope this is helpful, Rana, and you have an enchanting evening at
EPCOT. If you need a little help staying awake past Cinderella's curfew, I suggest caffeinating with one of my favorite Disney snacks - a specialty beverage from one of the park's Joffrey's Tea & Coffee kiosks! Most food and beverage locations will not operate after regular park hours, so fuel up before your event begins. Thanks for sending your question to planDisney, and have a magical day!
