We will be visiting in May and would like to know if we can still do the Epcot Wine Walk or if that has been discontinued. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ines!

A warm welcome back to planDisney!  I love springtime at Walt Disney World Resort!  The weather is gorgeous and the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival just happens to be in full bloom. The annual event is always a highlight of our spring trips!

Ines, I can tell you and I would be friends as the Wine Walk at EPCOT has been an experience my husband and I have enjoyed on our trips over the years.  We usually start in Germany at Winekeller with our first two tastes, then travel to Italy, and finally end in France.  It's a great way to sample a variety of wines as you travel the world. . .World Showcase that is!  While we usually complete the tasting tour on a single day, you have the option to bring your passport back on a second or third day to spread out your tastings.  The Wine Walk is something that is not specifically advertised on the Walt Disney World Resort website, but I did check with a Cast Member who shared that it is currently showing as available.

Since activities like the Wine Walk may change or discontinue without notice, I wanted to also share a few other options that you may enjoy!  Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar is located in Italy and carries over 200 bottles of Italian wines.  There is truly something for every wine preference here and you can also enjoy some snacks and small plates as well.  We like trying wine flights on our visits here, with each of us getting a different flight and sampling from both.  There are also a few special offerings right now at the various Outdoor Kitchens around the Flower and Garden Festival such as a sparkling pineapple wine at Pineapple Promenade and a tropical white sangria at La Isla Fresca.  You can find all the details on these and other treats available exclusively during the festival in the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide!

Speaking of sangria, there is also a Sangria University class that is offered at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort on Saturdays and Sundays.  During this experience, you'll not only get to sample several sangrias, but you'll also get to make your own!  Advanced reservations are required if you're interested in participating.

Ines, I hope you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort and get to enjoy tasting some amazing wines while there!  Remember that you are always welcome to be our guest here at planDisney and we hope to see you again real soon!

    Cheers!
    Kristi
