I purchased my Disneyland 3 Day tickets a month ago for Jan 17, 2025 - Jan 19th, 2025 reservation date. I tried to modify the reservation date, since we can no longer go. The February dates are not available. Does this mean I can no longer use the tickets?

Hi there, Cecelie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. It looks like you’re planning to visit the Disneyland Resort next month, which is just a hop, a skip, and a jump away! It’s a bummer that you’re not able to go during your originally scheduled dates in January, but we certainly understand that sometimes things just come up.

There’s no need to worry—booking a new reservation with your 3-day ticket should be a piece of cake! When you purchase park tickets, they are assigned a tier, from Tier 0 to Tier 6. Think of it like a video game—you have to level up to unlock new dates! The higher tiered tickets are more flexible, meaning they can be redeemed on more days throughout the year than lower tiers. That’s because each level is based on demand, with higher tiers representing higher demand days. A higher tier ticket, such as Tier 5, can be redeemed on lower-tier days, like Tier 3, for example. However, a Tier 3 ticket may not be redeemed on the higher Tier 5 day.

As of the time I’m writing this, I’m seeing reservations available for the entire month of February. This tells me that perhaps the dates in February have been assigned a higher tier number than your ticket level. But don’t worry, there’s a simple way to find out which tier has been assigned to your tickets! Just open the Disneyland mobile app, tap the menu button (the three-lined icon on the bottom right of the screen), and select “My Tickets & Passes”. Swipe to locate your tickets, and you’ll find your tier number located below the ticket holder's name.

If you have your heart set on visiting in February but no dates are available for your ticket type, you can upgrade your ticket in a few simple steps. Your best bet is to reach out to a Disneyland Resort cast member by calling the Guest Information line or by using the chat feature on the website or mobile app. They are truly magic makers and will be happy to get you squared away so you can be in the parks in no time!

Have you given Lightning Lane Multi Pass a try yet, Cecelie? Since you’ll be at the Disneyland Resort for three days, this ticket upgrade will allow you to save time in line so you can experience the best of what the parks have to offer. What would you do with your extra time in the parks? I’d grab a scoop of mint chip ice cream from Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and listen to the Dapper Dans give their best performance on Main Street, U.S.A.!

I hope this information helps you plan your magical visit to the Disneyland Resort, Cecelie!

Wishing you a Tier 6 level of fun!
