I purchased Disney world tickets in March of this year. We are trying to schedule reservations for the park and the days we need the parks are booked. How long do we have to use these tickets or can we refund them until 2021 when the parks open up more??

Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca!  We are glad you brought your question to us.

I know many Guests, including myself, had their vacation plans get "Stitched" earlier this year with the temporary closure of Walt Disney World Resort.  I am happy to help you try to get those plans back on track!

Due to limited theme park capacity, the Disney Park Pass reservation system was implemented.  All Guests will need a reservation as well as valid admission in order to enter a theme park.

The holiday season has always been a popular time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, and this year is no exception.  I do see that some or all parks are "sold out" of Disney Park Pass reservations on certain dates.  I would encourage you to keep checking on Disney Park Pass availability; other Guests' plans change all the time and it is possible the dates and/or parks you are interested in might become available for reservations.

Date-based theme park tickets purchased earlier this year have been extended for use in 2021.  The following statement can be found on the Theme Parks and Tickets "Know Before You Go" updates page:

"...date-specific theme park tickets purchased through June 6, 2020 with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020 or later, will automatically be extended to use any date through September 26, 2021. If you are unable to visit by September 26, 2021, you may apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date."

You should be able to make Disney Park Pass reservations now with the tickets you hold for dates through September 26, 2021.  If you think you would prefer to visit after that date, I recommend giving the Disney Reservation Center a call at (407) 566-4985.  A helpful Cast Member will be able to look up the ticket information in your My Disney Experience account and let you know what your ticket options are.

I hope that helps!  Please feel free to stop by planDisney again with any additional questions you may have.
