Hi! We purchased a Disney ticket at military base— the deeply discounted one. We are supposed to be going to Disney World with my Aunt who is a veteran’s spouse but unfortunately she isn’t feeling well and won’t be able to go. Will we be denied of entry?

Welcome to planDisney, Maya! And a big salute to your family for their service. It's an honor to know that Walt Disney World Resort values the members of our country's military with perks and discounts. Let's explore how these tickets work and find the best way for your family to enjoy some magic!

The current Military Salute Ticket is usually a certificate issued to the military member or spouse. It is activated when a valid military ID is shown at Guest Services at the theme parks or at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. If your aunt or the military member cannot join you, you won't be able to activate those military tickets. I know that's not the news you hoped to hear, but I have some ideas!

Since I can't see your account information or the exact theme park admission you have, I suggest calling the Existing Tickets line to confirm the offer details and expiration date for your tickets. For example, those Military Salute Tickets are valid through mid-December 2024, so one option is to reschedule your visit. Once your aunt feels better, you can celebrate at the parks!

Another excellent resource is Shades of Green. This resort offers planning advice and admission options for military members, and it's a beautiful place to stay during your Disney trip. I love the peaceful grounds, and it's close to Magic Kingdom Park!

Maya, I hope your aunt feels better soon so you can make some memories together. Please stop by planDisney anytime, and thanks again for your family's service.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
