I have purchased the dining plan and I am wondering how that works. For table service meals, is there a different menu to order from, or is it the same menu as other park guest NOT using the dining plan? Also, how does payment for meals work?

    Lindsey,

No, when you are on the Disney Dining Plan you get the same menu as the patrons paying cash. There are some rules, of course, like a child must order from the children's menu, and officially there are no substitutions (meaning if you get a dessert with your plan, you can't ask for an appetizer instead).

To use it, just make sure to tell your server at the start of your meal that you are on the dining plan. Then when you "pay" just give them your Key to the World card (i.e. your room key). That key will keep track of your available counter service, table service, and snack credits. You will get a receipt that tells you how many you have remaining.

Note that tips are NOT typically included in the dining plan, with a few unique exceptions. So make sure to take care of your wait staff, just as they took care of you!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
