We purchased a dining plan. Does that apply to the day of checkout as well? Ex, our flight is several hours after check out time, we plan to do some shopping at downtown Disney, will we have meals available to use at that time?

    Hi, Michelle!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How great to hear that you have an upcoming visit to Walt Disney World that includes a dining plan! My family and I find Dining Plans to be the most convenient way to do meals while on vacation!

Dining Plans at the Walt Disney World Resort are valid from the time you check in, until midnight on the day you check out. If you still have meal credits left over, you can certainly use them at Disney Springs! My family and I always save some entitlements to enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch (or both) on the day we depart and to take snacks home with us either to hand out as souvenirs among family and friends OR for us to enjoy at home as we recover from the sadness in our hearts that leaving Walt Disney World inevitably brings.

I hope this information is helpful, Michelle, and please come back with more questions as the time for your vacations approaches. We love to help out!

Wishing you the best trip ever!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
