Welcome to planDisney, Glenda. I’m truly sorry to hear that your plans have changed and that you may not be able to use all four days of your 4-Day Southern California Resident ticket. I completely understand how disappointing it can feel when magical plans take an unexpected turn, and I’m happy to help guide you through the next steps.
Theme park tickets can be transferred to another Guest only if they are wholly unused. Once a ticket has been scanned at the entrance for the first time, it is officially assigned to that Guest and is no longer eligible for transfer. This means that, unfortunately, other family members will not be able to use that partially used ticket, even on the same day. I know that’s probably not the news you were hoping for, but I want to make sure you have the clearest picture so you can plan accordingly.
If you’d still like your other family members to join you, my recommendation would be to visit the
Disneyland Resort website or
app to purchase new tickets for them. I took a peek at the
ticket calendar, and it looks like one-day theme park tickets are available for the date you mentioned.
As for your current ticket, you’ll be glad to know it is valid for a total of 14 days from its first use. That means you have 13 calendar days after your initial visit to return and enjoy the remaining days before the ticket expires. Even if tomorrow doesn’t work out, you still have a little time to plan another visit.
Glenda, I hope this gives you some peace of mind as you navigate these changes. While unexpected bumps in the road can be frustrating, they can sometimes lead to surprising new adventures. Whenever you’re ready to plan your next Disney day, we’ll be right here at planDisney, ready to sprinkle your plans with a touch of pixie dust.
Wishing you brighter days ahead and the promise of future magic,
David
