I just purchased a 4 day pass on 2/29/24 and wanted a magic key pass which was unavailable. Now I see they are on sale on 3/5/24. How can I apply my current, unused ticket purchase to a magic key?

Hi Cheryl! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

It's so exciting to have Magic Keys almost available again! We never know when they will, so it's a real surprise. I purchased a Magic Key for the first time last year, and we love the discounts, perks, and increased access to the magic.

I truly hope you're able to upgrade your multi-day ticket, so you can enjoy these benefits too. Your wholly unused multi-day ticket is eligible for an upgrade, however, according to the current terms, wholly unused tickets cannot be upgraded to Magic Key passes online or on the Disneyland mobile app.

Instead, you should be able to upgrade your ticket in the app by midnight at the latest on or before the last day of use on your ticket. This means you'll have to upgrade during your trip, so long as Magic Keys are still available, and you'll pay the difference. Prices are subject to change. You can also visit a ticket booth while you're enjoying your trip to complete the upgrade. You even can upgrade your ticket at a booth without even scanning into the park on your first day.

I am sorry if you were counting on upgrading as soon as Magic Keys became available. There is a chance they'll sell out because Magic Keys are popular. But I'll keep my fingers crossed that they're still available when you arrive for your visit.

    Sending you Pixie Dust!
