Hi Austin! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss you've experienced. I hope this upcoming trip helps take your mind off things and brings you joy with your family despite the challenging circumstances. You certainly deserve it.
You can upgrade an eligible
ticket under most circumstances, but you can't split the cost of an unused ticket and apply it towards upgrades for multiple tickets. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for today! I do have what I hope is good news: Disneyland Resort standard admission tickets retain their value even after they've expired so long as they are wholly unused. So, if the one ticket goes unused this visit, save it. Life sometimes gets in the way of our plans, and Disneyland Resort admission tickets offer flexibility if you can't visit like you'd planned.
If you make it back to Disneyland Resort prior to the expiration date, you'll want to make a new
theme park reservation with the remaining ticket. Select any available date and park of the same or lower tier. Availability of theme park reservations isn't guaranteed and popular days and parks fill up sometimes. If you'd prefer a date of a higher tier, you'll need to pay the difference. If the expiration date on the ticket has come and gone, however, call the
Tickets phone line before your visit and apply the value of the ticket to the purchase of a new ticket. Having your ticket ID number and your method of payment ready to go will make the transaction quick. You'll need to pay the difference since prices and terms are subject to change.
I've done this myself with tickets I couldn't even find! Lost to the electronic void, the friendly Cast Member was able to work magic, locating the tickets and applying their value so we could enjoy a family vacation long after illness had spoiled one.
I hope this trip and a future one with your remaining ticket on the horizon will bring some happiness into your life.
Elizabeth
