Hiya Valerie!
Welcome to
planDisney, where we love helping Guests like you with answers to their Disney vacation questions. I’m happy your visit this past October was so magical that you are already planning your return to
Walt Disney World this summer. Let’s get you an answer about making advance dining reservations and Lightning Lane selections.
Firstly, be sure your
14-day Magic Maker tickets are still valid. Typically, theme park tickets are only valid for a certain number of days after their first use. Most Disney 14-day Magic Tickets are valid for 18 days after the first time it is used. If you find your tickets are no longer valid, check out some of the
special offers for theme park tickets and vacation packages currently available to U.K. Residents.
If you are not staying in a Disney Resort hotel, you can begin making your
advance dining reservations 60 days in advance. If you are staying in a Disney Resort hotel, you can make advance dining reservations 60 days in advance for the length of your stay (up to 10 days). Advance dining reservations generally open to book at 6:00 AM Eastern Time.
Lightning Lane passes help you maximize your time in the theme parks, giving you access to the shorter Lightning Lane queue rather than the regular standby line. Be sure your theme park tickets are linked to your Disney account and you have made theme park reservations when necessary. Lightning Lane passes can be purchased after you arrive in the U.S. and 3 days in advance of your park visit. If you are staying in a Disney Resort hotel, you can purchase Lightning Lane passes after you arrive in the U.S. and up to 7 days in advance for the length of your stay (up to 14 days).
I hope you have an unforgettable holiday at
Walt Disney World this summer! If we can answer any more of your Disney vacation questions, Valerie, please stop back by. Here at planDisney, we are always eager to help you plan a magical vacation.
Happy Planning!
Angie
