Emily from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I purchased a 3 day CA resident pacakage but I won’t be able to use my last 2 days before it expires. Does the value of the tickets remain in my account and can it be applied to future purchases?

Greetings, Emily, and welcome to planDisney! You're right – the expiration date is quickly approaching for the 3-Day CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket.

I'm afraid I have some bad news, though. Any unused days on a partially used multi-day theme park ticket do not roll over once the ticket has expired. As stated in the eTicket Terms and Conditions, "No credit or refunds will be given for the non-use of any portion of a theme park ticket’s entitlements." The 3-Day CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket is valid through May 21, 2026. You'd either need to use your remaining two days on the ticket before then, or lose them. I'm sorry that this wasn't the answer you were hoping for.

Because the expiration date is only a few weeks away, reservations are becoming more difficult to get, as other Guests make plans to use the remaining days on their tickets, too. If there is any chance you could visit twice more by May 21, make reservations as soon as possible. You can check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to see what dates are still open. Just make sure to click "CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket" to see the correct availability. My suggestion is to reserve a few dates that might work for you. Then, keep checking the calendar. If a day that was previously full opens up, you can modify your reservation and move it to that date if desired.

There's one other option I want to share, just in case it appeals to you. You could upgrade your ticket to a Magic Key pass. To do this, you'd need to complete the upgrade before the ticket expires or is fully used. The value you paid for the ticket would be applied towards the cost of the pass. If you're at all interested in visiting again later this summer, during Halloween Time, or during the Holidays, then you might want to think about this! Just note that the effective date of the Magic Key pass would go back to the first day you used your multi-day ticket.

Emily, I hope one of these options works for you, so that you're able to get the full value out of your special ticket. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
