we purchased a 5 day base ticket with water park and more option and I am not understanding how this works. Do we have to use our ticket to get into the water park and forgo a day at a theme park?

Hi, Ellen! The Water Park Fun and More Option includes one admission per day to your choice of Blizzard Beach Water Park, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, DisneyQuest, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, or Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course (with reserved tee time) for each day of theme park tickets you purchase. So, each person would have 5 admissions for the places mentioned above since you have 5-day theme park tickets. Using the Water Park Fun and More Option does not impact your theme park tickets in any way.  You can use two or more options in the same day if you want.  For example, my family and I have gone to a water park in the morning and then DisneyQuest in the evening.  Have a Magical vacation!
