    We purchased a couple of the metal refillable mugs when we stayed at Poly over Christmas. We are going back in a couple weeks and was wondering if they can reactivate the mugs for our stay at that time.

    Welcome back!  It's so nice to see a returning Guest to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   Thanks for stopping in to ask another question.    I have a huge collection of Resort refillable mugs from my past visits to The Most Magical Place on Earth.  I use them most mornings to take my coffee to work with me.   They are adorable and I have a few different designs.   I do not have the new stainless steel mugs yet and really want to stay at a Disney Skyliner Resort so I can get one of those designs.  Guess I'll just have to book another trip. 

    Refillable mugs will be activated when you purchase them at a Disney Resort hotel, or claim one as part of one of the Disney Dining Plans.   You can use these mugs at any Disney Resort hotel and can refill it with soda, tea, coffee and yummy hot chocolate as much as you would like.  Currently there is not a reactivation option at the Resort hotels.  I have found that the RFID chip in the bottom of the mugs used in the RapidFill system often are damaged when you place them in the dishwasher or microwave and can not be reactivated.   You could bring them along with you and check when you go to purchase if reactivation is an option at that time or not.    I hope in the future this will be an option as it is would be very environmentally friendly.
