Hello, Ashley. Welcome to planDisney!
So, I have a confession. Not only is
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe probably my favorite
merchandise location in
Magic Kingdom Park, but it also edges out
Disney's Days of Christmas at
Disney Springs as my favorite shop in all of the
Walt Disney World Resort. But,
that's not my confession. My confession is that even if I don't have time to shop at this store, I have to at least do a walkthrough to get a whiff of the delightful Christmas scent that wafts throughout it. I just love the scents of the holiday season and this is probably my favorite. And the best part? It doesn't have to be the holidays to enjoy it. This store smells delightfully Christmas-y all year round!
The talented calligraphy Cast Member at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe should be able to customize your new favorite pair of
Mickey or Minnie ears for a fee. I would recommend going to the shop earlier in the day so there's less of a wait and more of a chance they'll be able to fulfill your request. Just always keep in mind that even though I've seen a Cast Member providing this service the last few times I've been to Magic Kingdom Park, offerings are subject to change.
My delightful friend
Elaine P. got internet-famous giving the very smart tip to pick up a Celebration Button at a
Guest Relations location for whatever it is that you're celebrating and bring it to this shop to have it customized. Talk about a unique and inexpensive souvenir to commemorate a special celebration. I wish I had thought of this when I wore my button to celebrate a milestone birthday at the resort a few years ago! Oh well, there's always the next birthday, right?
Ashley, I hope you wear those ears with pride as you prance around Fantasyland, sniff the flowers at the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and just generally take it all in with some of the best backdrops imaginable!
If you have any other questions,
please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'll help you bring as much magic to your upcoming visit as possible.
Do what makes you happy,
Matt
