    I purchased annual passes 2 months havent used yet. I have them on mobile app. Do i still need to go to guest services to activate on first day or can i go directly to entrAnce gate

    Hiya Greg! 

    Welcome back again to planDisney! As a brand new Annual Passholder myself I understand the excitement you must be feeling to finally be able to activate it. 

    The annual pass needs to be formally activated by visiting a Will Call ticket booth in front of any of the 4 main Theme Parks or at the Disney Ticket Center in Disney Springs. It appears that you may have purchased the Disney Pirate Pass which requires proof of residency and a valid photo ID. When I activated my annual pass a few weeks ago I headed to the Disney Ticket Center right after I checked into my Disney Resort Hotel. We activated it there with minimal wait and then headed to a lovely lunch at T-Rex which my kids loved. 

    Once it is activated and you then use it to enter the Parks an expiration date will now appear in your My Disney Experience App where your Annual Pass is located. Don't forget to mention your Annual Passholder status at every dining establishment or merchandise location in the Parks as you may be pleasantly surprised with the discounts you will get!
