Hiya, Nathaniel!
Thanks for stopping by with your question about
Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets. You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!
Oh boy... it sounds like you're considering becoming an
Annual Passholder during your upcoming vacation. Nathaniel, as a fellow Midwesterner, I wholeheartedly support visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during those dreary mid-winter months - and as many times as possible throughout the rest of the year. I'm happy to help you understand the process for upgrading your theme park ticket to an Annual Pass!
Being a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder is like joining the most magical club on earth, Nathaniel! As a Passholder, you'll enjoy special offers on Resort hotel reservations and special ticketed events, as well as
discounts at participating dining and merchandise locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. I'm happy to inform you that you'll be able to
upgrade your theme park ticket to an Annual Pass (pending availability) anytime through the last day of use for your current ticket's entitlements. The value you paid for your original 8-day theme park ticket will be applied toward the purchase of your Annual Pass. (I recommend checking your email confirmation to verify this amount.) Per the
Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass Terms and Conditions, if a partially-used multi-day ticket is upgraded to an Annual Pass, the pass will be backdated so that its valid use date begins on the first day that the ticket was used, and will expire one year from that date. Nathaniel, if you choose to upgrade your ticket before its first use, you may complete this upgrade over the phone by calling the
Existing Tickets phone line. Alternatively, you may visit a theme park ticket booth or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to complete the transaction in person once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort.
At the time of writing, the
Disney Incredi-Pass is the only pass type currently available for purchase by Guests who are not Florida residents or Disney Vacation Club Members. This is the highest "tier" of Annual Pass available with zero blockout dates, allowing Passholders to hold up to five theme park reservations at a time! At this time, Disney Vacation Club Members may also purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass. The Disney Pirate Pass and Disney Pixie Dust Pass are reserved for Florida residents (subject to change). Nathaniel, once you become an Annual Passholder, be sure to set up a Disney MagicMobile pass using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. This way, you'll be able to quickly verify your Passholder affiliation using your
Disney MagicMobile pass to take advantage of exclusive offers and discounts in the theme parks!
Nathaniel, I hope you've found this information helpful. I'm wishing you a wonderful winter trip to the Walt Disney World Resort and many magical visits as an Annual Passholder! Feel free to revisit us at
planDisney again anytime with any additional planning questions you may have. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
