    We purchased annual passes last night via telephone. They are linked now in MDE. When arriving can we get into park with current magic band and then visit guest relations or do we need to do annual pass redemption at ticket office outside the park?

    Hi Kevin!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and congratulations on your Walt Disney World Annual Pass purchase.  I have been a passholder for five years and I have enjoyed every second of it.  Not only will you receive 365 days of admission to the Theme Parks but you get some great Annual Pass Extras and discounts on food, merchandise and even Disney Resort hotel stays.   I hope you love your new Annual Pass as much I as love mine.

    Your Annual Pass may be linked to your My Disney Experience Account, but you will still need to stop by a ticket window or Guest Relations window before you use it to enter a Theme Park for the first time.   The ticket window will ask for your ID and credit card you used to purchase the Annual Pass with.   After the Cast Member verifies this they will activate your Annual Pass and this will be the date your Pass becomes active.  You will have one year from this date to use your Annual Pass.   Any MagicBand that is linked to your My Disney Experience account and shows active can be used to enter the Theme Park.  So you can use your old MagicBand to enter the park.  I have one of each color active and a few speciality MagicBands active which allow me to switch out daily if I wish during my visits.
