Hello Heather!
Welcome back to planDisney! I am so sorry you had to cancel your trips due to the pandemic. We were in the same boat and had to cancel several planned vacations as well, including one to celebrate my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. I’m so glad the parks are now finally reopened and we can return to the magic!
If your
Walt Disney World Annual Pass certificate is linked to your My Disney Experience Account, you should be able to make Disney Park Pass Reservations before your visit. Once you arrive, you’ll need to visit any ticket booth, Guest Relations outside a theme park, or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. Cast Members will be able to activate your Annual Pass at that time. From what I am hearing from other Guests, they are being upgraded at the time of activation to
one of the new types of Annual Passes. Guests are being granted
Memory Maker, which is currently an add-on option with the new Annual Passes types. Since this is something included on the Annual Pass you bought previously, Disney seems to be including it for those activating those old Annual Pass Certificates. I would specifically ask about this when you activate them.
You’ll also receive your Annual Pass Card at that time which will serve as your park ticket, and that you will need to show along with a photo ID to receive Passholder discounts and perks.
I hope this helps answer your question, Heather! Please let me know if you have any additional questions as you plan your next visit. I’m always happy to help my fellow Annual Passholders!
Have a Magical Day!
