Hiya, Frank!
From one Walt Disney World Annual Passholder to another, welcome to
planDisney! My life seems to have a bit more sparkle since becoming an Annual Passholder. Do you think it's the pixie dust? It's just so great knowing that I'm only a hop, skip, and jump away from The Most Magical Place on Earth. Since you're not planning on waiting for a
great big beautiful tomorrow to join the Passholder family, let's get right to your question!
I'm happy to confirm, Frank, that you can indeed use your Walt Disney World Annual Pass on the date of purchase. It will activate (and your year of magic will begin) when you scan into a Walt Disney World theme park for the first time. Since you are a Florida resident, you'll be able to choose from any of the
four annual pass options when making your purchase. It's just important to keep in mind that certain passes are subject to various
blockout dates throughout the year. If you're hoping to use your pass on the weekends, then you'll want to skip the Pixie Dust Pass. Happily, the Pirate, Sorcerer, and Incredi Pass are all valid today, and per Walt Disney World's current
theme park reservation policies, you'll be free to visit EPCOT today after 2 PM without a theme park reservation! The
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts just began, so it's the
practically perfect time to visit.
Don't forget that Annual Passholders have access to
exclusive perks and discounts, so be sure to take advantage of those during any future visits!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
