Ahoy there, Javier!
Welcome to planDisney; we are glad you are here! Your cruise is just a few weeks away and I know you must be counting down the days before you can forget about your worries and your strife and concentrate on the gorgeous ocean and sea breeze. But just because you are away, doesn't mean you want to completely disconnect, so let's see if I can help with your question!
First, be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and add your cruise reservation before your cruise begins. Once you board the ship, you will place the app in Onboard Mode and it will open up a whole new world of possibilities for you, including a listing of all onboard activities, your
Rotational Dining schedule, the complimentary
Room Service menu, and more. Once you open the app, navigate to
Connect to Internet. A new browser window will open and you may learn more about the various Wi-Fi services offered.
On my most recent cruise, there were three options to choose from (terms, packages and pricing are subject to change):
• The Stay Connected package lets you keep up with your social media, including posting photos. Currently, this package is $18 per day for one day or $16 per day if purchased for your entire voyage.
• The Basic Surf package has the additional benefit of checking email, internet access, and voice calls. Currently, this package is $28 per day for one day or $24 per day if purchased for your entire voyage.
• The Premium Surf package offers all of the above with faster connection speeds, streaming for short videos and music, plus video calling. Please note that you cannot stream from services such as Netflix and Hulu. Currently, this package is $42 per day for one day or $34 per day if purchased for your entire voyage.
Keep in mind that each package is per device, not per stateroom. You can sign out of one device and sign into another device using the same plan by using the same username and password. If you have any issues, stop by the
Guest Services Desk for assistance.
One of the great things about a Disney Cruise is that Wi-Fi access for using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and for staying in touch with friends and family onboard or back home using iMessage on Apple products or WhatsApp on other mobile devices is complimentary. Learn how to connect (and avoid network cell phone charges) in the Navigator app.
I hope this gets you ready to go, Javier. Connect with us again if you have other questions!
Keep in touch and have a magical cruise,
Shannon
