Hi Patrice,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited to hear that you're planning a getaway to The Most Magical Place on Earth for later this
summer, and hope all your Disney dreams come true!
While it is possible to
make payments on a vacation package that includes theme park tickets and a Disney Resort hotel reservation, payment is currently due in full at the time of purchase for theme park tickets when purchased alone. Hakuna Matata, though...no worries! I'd be happy to share a couple budgeting ideas that could help you. First, one idea is to simply purchase your
theme park tickets one at a time as you're saving the money for your visit. The only possible drawback to that plan is that in addition to theme park tickets,
Disney Park Pass reservations are required for admission into the theme parks and you won't be able to make your reservations until your tickets are
linked to your My Disney Experience account. When checking the
availability calendar, early August is currently showing plenty of availability, but it's possible that changes, and it's best to make those reservations as soon as possible to guarantee you'll be able to visit the parks on your preferred dates with your entire party. If it feels too risky to you to wait to purchase each theme park ticket individually, another idea is to purchase
Disney Gift Cards each time you visit a wholesale or retail location where you'll receive a discount, then use those to pay for your tickets.
However you decide to budget for and purchase your theme park tickets, I'm sending pixie dust that it all works out perfectly for you.
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Patrice, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're putting together the pieces of your trip. I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
