We purchase tickets through my work incentive program, but book our resort stay through disney, can we still add the dining plan to our stay?

Welcome to planDisney, your one-stop shop for answers to all your Disney vacation questions. I’m glad you decided to ask us about adding a Disney Dining Plan to your Walt Disney World vacation. As a huge dining plan fan, I am happy to offer you an answer.

What a great perk to have discounted Disney theme park tickets available through your work! Unfortunately, to add a Dining Plan, you must book a Disney vacation package that includes a Disney Resort hotel stay and theme park tickets. I suggest comparing the costs to see if you would save more money by booking a package through Walt Disney World or purchasing theme park tickets using your incentive program and a room-only Disney Resort hotel reservation. If you don’t buy a dining plan option, you can purchase Disney Gift Cards to budget for your vacation meals ahead of time. I’ve used this method several times, picking up a Disney Gift Card here and there until I had the amount I would have spent adding the dining plan. I then used Disney Gift Cards to pay for my meals and snacks during my vacation.

If you want to enjoy table-service meals at some of the incredible Disney World restaurants, make advance dining reservations as soon as possible. As a Guest of a Disney Resort hotel, you can make advance dining reservations for the length of your stay starting 60 days before your check-in date. You can find delicious dining experiences in the Disney theme parks and the Disney Resort hotels. Be sure to check out the full list of restaurants available in Walt Disney World. You can even filter to find the restaurants that specifically accept Dining Plans if you end up adding a Dining Plan to a Walt Disney World vacation package.

Have an incredible visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Michael! If we can answer any more of your vacation questions, please stop back by planDisney. We are here for you and happy to help!
