A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Marcelle. We're absolutely thrilled that you are here to share this question with us. Oh boy! A magical visit to the Disneyland Resort is in the works and I'm thrilled to help.
It sounds like you're getting ready to have your best Disney day with
Disney Genie+ Service (soon to be Individual Lightning Lane Multi Pass). If you purchase tickets for your entire group through your MyDisney account on the Disneyland website, all of your tickets will already be linked and you will be able to make Lightning Lane selections for everyone. I love that you want to help make everyone's day easier by taking charge of the Lightning Lane selections.
To double-check that all tickets are linked, open the
Disneyland app and tap "☰" to open the menu. Next, tap the "My Tickets & Passes" tile and scroll to the left to see all tickets purchased under your account. If you do not see the tickets here, no worries, it's quick and easy to add them by tapping the "+" in the upper right corner and then "Link Tickets & Passes."
You may have seen the
recent post on Disney Parks Blog about the changes coming to Disney Genie+ Service. The only change coming to this service at Disneyland Resort will be the name. On July 24th, Disney Genie+ will be known as Lightning Lane Multi Pass and individual Lightning Lane will be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass. All other aspects of this service will remain unchanged. You can make your first selection as soon as all of your tickets have been scanned and you've entered the theme park. To get the most out of this service, I like to set an alarm on my phone for when it's time to book my next Lightning Lane selection. Remember that
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the day are also included, so make sure to get that iconic shot in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Marcelle, I hope this helps as you are getting ready for your magical adventure. Here's wishing you and your group a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. And remember, with great power comes great responsibility.
