Hiya Rae,
It is great to see you back at planDisney. If you ask me, there is no better time to visit
Walt Disney World Resort than the holiday season. I love the festive decorations, the seasonal food, merchandise, entertainment and events, which definitely includes
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
This special event is held on select evenings at
Magic Kingdom. Guests are able to enjoy most attractions, and since tickets are limited, the wait times are typically shorter. On top of enjoying your favorite rides, you can enjoy special character interactions and entertainment options that only occur on party nights. This includes the amazing yuletide stage show at Cinderella Castle (Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration), as well as Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Plus, there is special merchandise, yummy holiday treats, dancing reindeer, a visit from Santa Claus and snow on Main Street U.S.A.
The party takes place from 7pm to midnight, however party-goers can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm on the day of their party. You would not need to purchase a separate ticket for Magic Kingdom unless you wanted to visit the theme park before 4pm. We actually like to spend the earlier part of the day enjoying our
Disney Resorts Collection pool or even pop over to
Disney Springs for an early lunch, then head to Magic Kingdom in time for the 4pm entry.
Friendly reminder - the parties are very popular and often sell out well in advance. Therefore, I would
purchase your tickets as soon as possible. If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
Hope to see ya real soon,
Margaret
