If I purchase tickets for 2023 and I want to change them for 2024 do i need to cancel them or can I change the date?

    Hello Eduardo!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by! I'm so happy to hear that you're planning on visiting the Disneyland Resort later this year. Whether you visit in 2023 or 2024, I'm sure you'll have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth.

When you purchase Theme Park Tickets, you'll be happy to know that they generally have a very long shelf life. For instance, if you were to purchase tickets today, a one-day ticket would be valid through December 30, 2024 and a multi-day ticket would be valid through January 12, 2025 (or 13 days after first use, whichever occurs first). So if you happen to purchase tickets in 2023 but have to cancel your reservation, your ticket will still be valid until its expiration date, which will be well into next year! You may make and cancel Park reservations as much as you'd like before the ticket's expiration date as long as your ticket has days remaining. If you know that you will be unable to make a reservation, however, it's always courteous to cancel them so another Park guest may use the spot.

I do hope you are able to visit this year because the Halloween Season will be kicking off soon and the Disney Parks Blog released a delicious looking lineup for the Foodie Guide. My family and I were ecstatic that they're bringing back the Darth by Chocolate Parfait! It's my favorite time of year to visit the Disneyland Resort!

Eduardo, I hope that you found this helpful and that you are able to visit soon. If there is anything else that we can do for you, please write back to us anytime. You're always welcome at planDisney!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
