If I purchase a ticket as a gift for say September 1st would the person I’m buying it for use it in say November.?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Robert!

Last year, Walt Disney World Resort introduced its new date-based ticket system. This system allows Guests with flexible travel dates to choose the ticket price and date that works best for them. If you’d like to purchase a ticket to a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park as a gift for someone, let me offer a few suggestions.

If you know the particular date(s) the gift recipient will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you can use the interactive calendar to select the specific date(s) of their visit. If you want them to have flexibility for when to use their Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park admission, you can choose the “Flexible Dates Option” at checkout. For an additional charge, this Option will allow them to use their ticket any time before December 31, 2020. Once activated, they will have 14 days to use all of the ticket’s admissions.

If neither of these options is a good fit for you, you can also consider giving a Disney Gift Card to cover the cost of a ticket. Disney Gift Cards never expire and can be used as payment for Theme Park tickets and Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservations, as well as dining, shopping and entertainment throughout Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Resort, Disney Stores nationwide, and even shopDisney.com.

Hopefully one of these choices will be a good fit for you, Robert! Please keep in mind that if you purchase a Theme Park ticket as a Florida Resident, the recipient must also be a Florida Resident who can show proof of Florida residence in order to activate and use the ticket.
