Welcome to planDisney, Jodi! It's so nice to meet you!
There are some
great deals for residents of the Sunshine State. I must admit that I do sometimes peruse these offers and wish I could take advantage of them! It's kind of like when I endlessly scroll the
Disney Store or daydream about purchasing a new
Disney Vacation Club membership. Or think about the idea of having access to the
monthly payment plan for Florida Residents on an Annual Pass. Okay, let me get to your actual question because I could daydream about these things all day!
Currently, any Guest 18 years or older must provide
proof of Florida Residency to use an offer that uses a Florida Resident discount. While Guests who are under the age of 18 don't need to show proof of residency, they must be accompanied by a Guest who has.
Living closer to the magic means you probably have easier access to the resort. And
that means you will likely have an advantage when it comes to seeing all of the exciting new offerings coming to the resort over the next few years. Of course, there are giant additions like
the Villains Land and
the Cars attractions coming to
Magic Kingdom Park and
Pueblo Esperanza coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, which are all coming in the more distant future. But there are
some very exciting offerings coming in 2025, like
Zootopia: Better Zoogether, the reimagining of
Test Track,
2 new lounges,
a new Villains show, and
Starlight, a brand-new nighttime parade. And that's just what we know so far! I hope you're ready to be in the front seat for it all!
Jodi, enjoy your visit with your family and be sure to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news and updates. If you have any other questions,
I'm here for you!
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious, and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths,
