Hi Jessica,
Thanks for
hopping by with this question! Park hopping is a great way to visit multiple Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in one day with a single admission. I have to admit, I was initially intimidated by the whole process but finally gave it a try last year and loved the experience! I was able to do exactly what you asked about. I started my day in
Magic Kingdom Park, took the
Monorail to EPCOT for a few attractions and snacks, and then hopped right back to Magic Kingdom Park to finish my day. There are a few things you'll need to keep in mind when purchasing tickets with the
Park Hopper Option. Let's chat about them!
First, Park Hopper tickets will apply to all ticketed days for the length of your stay. There is currently no option to apply the hopper to particular days. If you decide to purchase
tickets for one theme park per day and later decide to upgrade, the upgraded purchase price will apply to all days, not just those remaining on your ticket.
Second, you'll need a
park reservation for the park where you intend to begin your day. You'll have to enter this park first before you'll be able to visit a second park, but you will not need an additional reservation for the second (or third and fourth) parks you choose to visit.
Third, park hopping is subject to capacity and is currently allowed after 2 pm each day. When I hopped from Magic Kingdom to
Epcot I started making my way down Main Street, U.S.A. towards the Monorail around 1:15 pm. This gave me plenty of time to ride to the Transportation & Ticket Center and transfer to the EPCOT Monorail line. Once I arrived at EPCOT I had just a few minutes to relax on the benches before it was time to scan in and enjoy my afternoon plans.
Hop by and
ask me any more vacation planning questions you might have. I'd be happy to help you plan your most magical day!
