When I purchase a package deal with room and tickets do I pay for that up front or in installments?

Hi there, Susan! Welcome back to planDisney, I am so happy when I see guests return to us with more questions.

When booking your vacation on either the official Walt Disney World website or with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, a package with tickets and resort requires only a $200 deposit to lock in your rates. Then, your final payment is due just 30 days before you check-in. At any time you or your Travel Agent can make payments to Disney in any amount. Since I see you are planning to travel in late March, your final payment would be in February.

I like to budget for my Disney vacations by purchasing Disney Gift Cards from a local store with a slight discount. I save all of these and then combine them on the Disney Gift Card website into $1000 cards. Then, I can pay all or most of my vacation package off with them. I keep buying gift cards and combining them up until we travel. That way, I have a LOT of our food and souvenirs paid off before we arrive.

When booking your package, be sure to add the Memory Maker option. Not only do you save $30 by purchasing in advance, but this is also the perfect way to document your Walt Disney World vacation. Memory Maker includes all professional photos taken in all four theme parks, thirteen attraction photos, and “magic shots”. My favorite attraction photo is inside Haunted Mansion. Be ready right at the start of your journey in the doom buggy. When you pass the portraits, smile for Medusa.

I hope this helps with your vacation planning to The Most Magical Place on Earth! We hope to see you again real soon.

    Happy Traveling,
    Tracy

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
