Hi Faye, and welcome back to planDisney!
The Oogie Boogie Bash is one of my absolute favorite after-hours events. It's a frightfully fun must-do for me every year. I’m eagerly counting down the days to this year’s event, too! Let’s help you conjure up the perfect plans for a spook-tacular trip during the season I like to call “Los Espookies!”
If you purchase Oogie Boogie Bash tickets, you don’t need to buy separate theme park tickets for the same day. Your event ticket includes admission to
Disney California Adventure starting up to three hours before the party officially begins. However, if you’d like to arrive earlier in the day or hop over to
Disneyland before the Bash, you’ll need to purchase a separate theme park ticket and make a reservation.
Should you decide to visit Disney California Adventure before the event begins, I have a helpful Q-Tip for you! Guests with party-only tickets must check in to receive their event wristbands. These lines can get a bit long, especially at the main check-in areas when the party starts. Here’s the trick (or treat!): if you’re already inside California Adventure, you can pick up your wristband and check in at designated locations within the park. These internal check-in spots usually have shorter lines, so you can save valuable time to enjoy even more ghoulish fun.
While specific details for this year’s bash haven’t been fully revealed yet, I’m thrilled about the return of Villains Grove! This spellbinding experience transforms the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail into an eerily enchanting realm inspired by Disney Villains. With its stunning use of special lighting, fog, projections, and other effects, Villains Grove is a hauntingly beautiful highlight of the Oogie Boogie Bash. It’s the perfect spot to immerse yourself in the Halloween spirit. Just beware because you never know who’s shadow may be lurking nearby!
Faye, I hope this information helps you prepare for a wickedly wonderful night filled with treats, tricks, and unforgettable Disney magic. If you have more questions as you plan your Halloween adventures, please don’t hesitate to stop by and visit us here at planDisney again.
Have a boo-tiful time planning, and Happy Early Halloween!
