Hello, is there a way to purchase one day in California adventure and one day in Disneyland? I have small grandkids and this seems like the best choice for now.

Hello Mashawn, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for visiting us with your Disney vacation question, and how exciting that you're planning to visit "The Happiest Place on Earth" with your young grandkids. Seeing the wonder in little one's eyes when they see beloved Disney characters and get to experience magical attractions is just about the best experience ever!

I think your plan is practically perfect in every way. If you have 2 days to spend at the Disneyland Resort, planning on one day for Disneyland Park and one day for Disney California Adventure Park will be an excellent strategy. It will mean less walking than trying to include both parks in the same day, and it will allow you a nice amount of time to visit everything your little Mouseketeers are interested in. It's true that these two parks are located close together, which lends itself well to park hopping. But again... if you've got 2 days with little ones, I definitely think one park per day is the best strategy.

You'll want to purchase a 2-day Standard Theme Park Ticket, with no need to add on the Park Hopper. They can be used for either park, and guests younger than age 3 do not need a ticket. You also need to make a theme park reservation for each day. If you purchase your tickets directly from the Disneyland site, it will walk you through making that reservation at the same time as your ticket purchase.

I always tell friends to keep an eye on the Special Offers, Deals, & Discount page... perhaps a deal will work for you to save some money! Which of course, means more churros and Mickey ice cream bars, right?

One last tip! Be sure to download the Disneyland mobile app, as it can be very helpful during your visit. You can check the app to see attraction wait times, or even filter attractions by Park, and then Age "Preschoolers" or "Kids" to see a list of just-right rides you'll want to check out. It can also help you find food or snacks when you're hungry, with menus included for many of the locations.

Mashawn, I hope this helps. I'll be sending pixie-dust your way for you to have a wonderful time at Disneyland with your grandkids! Please visit us again at planDisney if you have any other questions we can assist with.

    Magical memories await,
    Tami
