Aloha, Michelle! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
I was so excited to see your question today because
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite places in all of
Walt Disney World Resort! I love the laid-back island vibe of this resort hotel, as well as its convenient location along the
monorail route. However, my favorite thing about Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is its
dining options.
Whether it's Dole Whip at
Pineapple Lanai, pulled pork nachos at
Capt. Cook's, or a cocktail at
Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace, the restaurants and lounges at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort have some of my favorite snacks and sips. Perhaps the most popular restaurant at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is
'Ohana.
At dinnertime, 'Ohana offers an incredible all-you-care-to-enjoy Polynesian feast, and the 'Ohana breakfast features character appearances by Lilo and Stitch. Included on the all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast menu is a delicious pineapple-coconut breakfast bread. Although I've never seen this exact treat sold anywhere else, I'm sure your server would be happy to bring you some extra bread during your 'Ohana breakfast. Also, if you do an internet search for the 'Ohana pineapple-coconut breakfast bread, you'll find several recipes to help you make your own at-home version of this beloved 'Ohana menu item.
Michelle, have you ever dined at 'Ohana for dinner? If you enjoy the breakfast bread, you will love the 'Ohana bread pudding with homemade caramel sauce that is served for dessert. It is nothing short of heavenly! If you don't have a dinner reservation for 'Ohana, stop next door at
Tambu Lounge. The 'Ohana bread pudding isn't listed on Tambu Lounge's menu, but sometimes it's available at this location, so be sure to ask your server about it.
Wishing you a Walt Disney World Resort vacation filled with tropical treats and lots of magical moments!
Samantha
