Can I purchase a new magic key, if I already have one activated for myself? As I wish to come back next year for Halloween but current pass expires in June

Hi Findlay! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

While current Magic Key holders can renew their passes, the sale of new Magic Keys is currently paused. An expiration date doesn't mean the end of the magic though! You can renew your Magic Key, starting 30 days prior to its expiration, which should allow you to visit for Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort next year, which I hope is good news. With a renewed Magic Key, you'll experience another year of increased access to the magic of the parks, discounts, and perks.

Once it expires, however, you would have to wait for sales to start again, and there's a chance you won't be able to purchase a new one between June and your next visit. It all depends on when Magic Key sales open up and availability. They are periodically paused, and when they do open up, they're popular and can sell out quickly. Unlike renewing an existing Magic Key, there's no guarantee when you're in the virtual waiting room to purchase that you'll be able to snag the Magic Key that's the right fit for you.

Check all terms, including Blockout dates before renewing or purchasing a new key. Magic Keys can't be canceled or transferred, so you'll want it to be the Magic Key that meets your needs, including those dates you're dreaming of for next year. Prices and terms could be different from when you last purchased your Magic Key.

    I hope this helps!
