Get ready for your close-up, Hyunmo, because you're heading to
Walt Disney World Resort! It looks like today is Arrival Day, so smile big for those photos. I recently added
Memory Maker to my Annual Pass, and it's been worth every dime.
Disney PhotoPass photographers are pros at helping guests strike a pose for fabulous photos. Let's look at how you can activate this product on your visit.
Since you see Memory Maker linked to your My Disney Experience account online, it should be ready to go! As soon as a Disney PhotoPass photographer snaps your picture and scans your
MagicBand, you will see the image in your app. On the Welcome screen, scroll down and select "Photo Gallery." Don't be alarmed if you see a watermark at first; simply choose a photo, and the option to "Activate Memory Maker" should pop up. Once activated, the service will be active during your trip, and you can download all your photos for 45 days.
I chatted with a very focused Cast Member who said there's no way to confirm Memory Maker in your mobile app before activating it. Make sure your app is linked to the same email and login information as your online account, and you can activate the service after that first picture. Feel free to stop by
Guest Relations or call the
Disney PhotoPass help desk if you have any issues.
One easy way to locate PhotoPass photographers is to tap the location pin at the bottom of your app screen. At the top center, tap the dropdown menu and select "PhotoPass" to see where those green-clad Cast Members will be waiting to capture your memories! My favorite is just after dark near the Tangled Tower in Fantasyland. It's the Rapunzel Lantern shot, and it's magical. You'll hold a glowing lantern for the photos, and the results will be breathtaking. At last, you'll see the light!
Hyunmo, your visit is going to be picture-perfect, so be like Mickey and say, "Cheeeeese!" Feel free to
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
