Hello there, Jena!
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney today. We are so happy to have you. I’m even more excited to see that you are just days away from a
Walt Disney World Vacation. Are you packed? I’m honestly screaming with excitement for you, it’s going to be an incredible visit!
Those replica pavers are truly enchanting. My sister and I purchased one for our dad back in 2019, and to this day, he has it on display in his home entertainment center. It is just a small keepsake of the many memories we’ve made together over the years, visiting both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. I’m sure you feel the same way about these replica pavers since you purchase one year after year.
Since you will be in the theme parks, I recommend checking
Tomorrowland Launch Depot in Magic Kingdom. That is where we purchased ours, and your best place to find them since I, too, no longer see them
online. I’m trying to think back to March when we looked around the store ourselves after riding TRON, and I remember seeing the customizable machine, but I only remember seeing phone cases and MagicBand options. It doesn’t hurt to double-check, though!
A fellow
panelist mentioned seeing the machine at
Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs about a year ago. So if you’re in that area, I recommend popping in to check. Plus, that store is a great option for any other souvenirs you want to bring back home with you. Mickey Ears are my go-to! My collection is getting a little out of hand, but a girl needs to accessorize, and Mickey-shaped ears are perfect for doing just that!
Jena, if you can’t find this keepsake, I want to share what my family and I have started. We now collect an ornament from every
Disney Resort we stay at to add to our Christmas tree. We try to leave the tag on it so that we can handwrite a date on it as well. It’s just a little token that sparks up all the memories we made when we pull it out of the Christmas bin each year. I will say, though, we have a few that are not ornaments, but we’ve modified them to become one. Specifically, a magnet from Animal Kingdom Lodge. Its rectangular shape works perfectly when you wedge it just right into the tree’s branches. Maybe your family can start something like this. You all could also visit
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe and purchase an actual ornament and start a collection that way, too. This is what my parents did for us growing up and my husband and I ran with this idea and made it our own.
Either way, I know you all are in for a magical visit. Have fun and good luck on your search for this treasure.
