Welcome to planDisney, Skyler. Thanks for bringing your question to us!
I know this situation well. You see a piece of merchandise, fall in love, but tell yourself you're going to think about it. And then you do, but you never get back to that store. And you keep thinking about it, even when you're home. So you fire up the good old
Disney Store mobile app or website (or both, hoping there's some secret magic), type in those keywords, but can't find it anywhere. This is a Disney
merchandise tale as old as time. I feel it in my bones.
While some
Disney Parks merchandise makes it onto the Disney Store, there's a lot that is exclusive to the parks. Sometimes, that merchandise is available first at the resort and then makes its way onto the site. But that is not a guarantee, nor is it always the case. As such, I'd keep monitoring the site periodically in case it shows up. Or, better yet, if you have a friend or family member going to the resort sometime soon, ask them to pick it up for you and mail it home.
One of the lessons I've learned over the years is that if I really love an item, I just purchase it, get it to my hotel room, and then decide before I open or use it if I really want it while I'm still on vacation. Currently, if you buy merchandise from a Disney-owned merchandise location on vacation and decide before you leave that you don't want it, you can typically return unopened and unused merchandise to another Disney-owned merchandise location, even the one at your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. So you can take it with you, mull it over, and if you decide it's not for you, you don't have to trek back to the store where you purchased it!
Skyler, best wishes in finding your diamond in the rough. If you have any other questions,
I'm here for you! Until then, remember, "Even miracles take a little time."
Keep wishing upon a star,
Matt
