If I purchase a gift at a particular park and want to return it untouched with original receipt, do I have to return it to the same park or could I return it at the Disney resort I'm staying at?

Hi, Joshua! I'm so glad you reached out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

This summer, I purchased a Genie Lamp for my sister-in-law, who is a big Aladdin fan, at the World of Disney store in Disney Springs. Later that evening, after we had returned to our Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I noticed the lid had a crack in it. Luckily, we were able to exchange it the next day for a brand new one at our Resort hotel's merchandise shop with no issues. As long as you return or exchange your item within 30 days with your original receipt, you'll be fine, even if you take it back to a location on Walt Disney World Resort property that differs from where the original purchase was made (the only caveat is when Guests try to return an item purchased from shopDisney or a local Disney Store). If you have any questions, feel free to call the Merchandise Guest Support Center at (877) 560-6477. By the way, I'm happy to report that I recently received a photo of that shiny lamp, in perfect condition, from my sister-in-law!

Good luck returning your merchandise, Joshua, and enjoy the rest of your trip!
