Happy sunny holidays, Amanda, and welcome to planDisney! I'm a Florida resident with a home in another state, so I have some ideas about why you're hitting a snag with those
Theme Park Tickets. Since your
Walt Disney World Resort visit is coming soon, let's make it magical!
I chatted with a helpful Cast Member who said your
My Disney Experience account must have a primary Florida address to purchase a resident ticket. If you have another state listed in your account, you won't be able to apply any
Florida-exclusive discounts online. But I have some things to try.
You could go into your My Disney Experience and change your address to the one you have in Florida. The system should then allow you to use a
Disney Gift Card and complete the transaction. You can opt out of the online residency verification and bring the
proper proof when you arrive at the theme parks to activate those tickets at
Guest Relations.
Another option is to give the
New Tickets line a call. The Cast Member said they should be able to override the non-Florida address in your account. I confirmed they can take a Disney Gift Card as payment over the phone, so that could be the simplest option.
I checked the
Theme Park Reservations calendar, and Christmas Day has limited availability. If you plan to go to a park that day, I suggest you call to secure your tickets and reservations as soon as possible. I plan to be at Disneyland Park on Christmas Day; we can celebrate Disney-style on opposite coasts!
One of my favorite attractions is the holiday overlay on
Jingle Cruise at Magic Kingdom Park. The sparkling and festive decor outshines the skippers' puns! Well, almost.
Amanda, I'm showering you with pixie dust and tinsel so your upcoming visit will be merry and bright. Stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
