Can I purchase a Florida Resident multi-day ticket as a gift for a non-Florida resident without paying the difference since I am a Florida resident?

Hi Samantha and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question!

Florida Residents get to enjoy special pricing when it comes to Disney Resort hotel stays and tickets all year round. I think it’s so nice that you would like to gift a theme park ticket to a friend, but unless that person is under the age of 18, the person purchasing the ticket must pay the non-Florida resident price.

Here’s why, in order to activate a Florida Resident theme park ticket, you must show Proof of Florida Residency. You may purchase and gift a ticket for a child or teen under the age of 18 and pay the Florida Resident price if the adult purchasing the ticket is a Florida Resident.

Florida Resident theme park tickets can be activated at any theme park ticket window or at Guest Services at Disney Springs.

Samantha, you can still take advantage of Special Offers available to Florida Residents in the form of Disney Resort hotel stays and invite friends from out of town to stay with you. But if what you’re looking for are promotions on theme park tickets, right now, you can save $20 on the purchase of 3 day or more theme park tickets on the Walt Disney World Resort ticket site.

I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue planning your next visit. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back to see us! Helping us with all the details of your magical stay is our specialty!
