Hi there, Barbara!Welcome to planDisney and how wonderfully gracious of you to purchase Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets for your son and his family! I'm sure that's going to make them so happy and will be a thoughtful and heartwarming gift that they'll remember for years.I think it will be fine to buy your son's tickets through Sam's Club because people purchase Disneyland Resort tickets as gifts for others all the time, whether it be from the Disneyland website or a big box store like Sam's Club, Costco, or Target. Once the tickets are purchased, giving them access to the tickets and reservations is as simple as linking the tickets to their respective Disneyland account. If you've purchased tickets from a third party, they'll need to be activated in order to obtain the ticket ID number. After that, there are two methods by which your son can link the tickets to their account:
Once the tickets are linked, your son will be able to make reservations for their summer visit! As far as blockout dates, I visited the Sam's Club website and they appear to only sell multi-day tickets. There are no blockout dates for these tickets but they must be used within a 14 day window. Just be careful that you're purchasing the standard tickets because the Southern California Ticket Offer and the Kids' Special Ticket Offer do expire soon and may have blockout dates. I hope that was helpful for you, Barbara! I'm very excited for your son and his family to visit the Happiest Place on Earth! If you or they have any more questions for us, please feel free to return again because we'd be happy to continue being involved in the planning process. Until next time!Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!-Al
